england essex = At the south of the North Sea and on the River Thames, a major dormitory area for London workers, population ~1.5M in 1991. Local government for the county is provided by Essex County Council.

england essex brightlingsea = Maritime town, once an island, with settlement at least as far back as the Bronze Age. Brightlingsea Creek forms a natural harbour near the mouth of River Colne where it meets River Blackwater. See the town guide. Local government for the town as of 2008 is provided by Brightlingsea Town Council.
